Town house in Palau, the historic town center of Sant Pere de Ribes , Barcelona

As you stroll along the narrow street with a freshly baked loaf of bread under your arm you feel the warmth of the morning sun in your face. When you push open the massive wooden front door and enter into the hallway the scent of coffee leads you into the generous kitchen on the ground floor. As the kitchen has direct access to the living-/dining room and further out to the patio, it´s easy to bring the breakfast tray to your preferred place, depending the season. In winter you stay by the cozy fireplace and in summer you enjoy a pool side breakfast. One of the qualities of this house is the many different spaces it offers, for relax in solitude or for joyful gatherings of family and friends.

The house was totally rebuilt in 1996, saving the exterior walls and honoring the traditional Catalan style, using massive logs, visible in all ceilings, and natural materials. Windows and doors are of massive wood.

Thanks to a modern distribution the living area (kitchen and dining-/living room) has been located to the ground floor and all the bedrooms are located to the two upper floors.

On the first floor are two large bedrooms and a smaller one that can be used as a single bedroom or a study. All the rooms are exterior and have windows. The rooms share a large bathroom.

The en-suite is occupying its own floor, the second, and has direct access to its own terrace. This bedroom is large and bathing in day light. In summer you can leave the terrace doors open, to let the breeze from the Mediterranean Sea enter. The terrace is large enough to be furnished and there is plenty of space for flowerpots, to create your blooming heaven with a view. The en-suite bathroom is generous and equipped with a jacuzzi, to add an extra touch of luxury.

The house has a tourist license. The current owners are renting it 10 weeks per year for a weekly fee of 1700€ – 2000€.
